Finished 40k Photography Backdrop

Hello all,

I'm back again with my finished 40k backdrop. I'm very very pleased with how it all came out!

A few bits of scenery and voila, it really nice back drop. Everything was sprayed white to start, the walls and floor were then painted mechanics standard grey and then dry brushed with administratum grey and then dawn stone. To give a little more shading I used watered down  biel tan green, nuln oil, reikland fleshshade and agrax earthshade to create damp patches, algae, mud and the like to break up the grey.

The pipes and boiler were brass scorpion based, reikland flesh shade washed and then dry brushed with boltgun metal, heavier towards the bottom of the boiler to give some wear.

The copper was then given a decent coat of typhus corrosion in all the places that would collect a lot of dirt. Ryza rust was applied in those areas too, followed by nihlic oxide for more coppery corrosion. Finally I added some nurgles for out of the dripping tap and leaky pipe for a little detail.
The red barrel was painted scab red, then dry brushed boltgun metal, then mithril silver and a little nurgles rot for a little dribble.
The ladder and support strut at the top was painted boltgun metal, washed in afraid earthshade and then typhus corrosion and ryzarusted.
Lastly the two bits of paper were simply folded in half as washed with agrax earthshade and reikland fleshshade.

Overall I love it and can't wait to get it in my light box for pictures!

Well that's all for today, feel free to leave a comment below whether good, bad or inbetween and thanks for reading!
